Chris Stussy

For over four years, I documented life on and off stage with Chris Stussy. What started as tour content evolved into a complete visual world built around music, movement and honesty.

Building a recognizable visual world around one of electronic music’s fastest growing artists.

THE STORY

More than tour content

Over the years, the collaboration evolved into far more than tour visuals.

Together we documented life on and off stage through documentaries, backstage moments, livestream productions and years of touring across the world.

From airports and late night edits to sold out clubs and festivals, the camera became part of everyday life — capturing not just the performances, but everything happening around him.

What people saw online was only a small part of the story. Behind every clip, episode or production was constant movement, 150 flights a year, long nights and years spent building a visual identity in real time.

The goal was never to create polished content.
It was about showing life on the road in its rawest form — honest, emotional and uncut.

UNCUT SERIES

Created from the road

Uncut was created to show touring in its rawest form.

The full concept was independently developed and directed by Tim Jonker — from the original idea and naming to filming, editing and storytelling every episode while travelling worldwide with Chris Stussy.

Instead of focusing only on shows, the series captured everything around it: the long nights, friendships, exhaustion, chaos and moments in between.

What started as content on the road slowly evolved into one of the most recognizable touring series within the electronic music scene.

MULTICAM PRODUCTIONS

Redefining the online stage.

During the pandemic, nightlife suddenly came to a complete standstill. With clubs closed around the world, livestreams quickly became one of the only ways for artists to stay connected with their audience.

At the time, Tim Jonker independently started developing livestream concepts for DJs — combining cinematic storytelling, multicam productions and unique locations at a moment where almost nobody was approaching online performances this way yet.

Shortly after, Chris Stussy reached out to create a livestream production for DJ MAG from the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam — marking the first official production between both creatives.

What started as a livestream during lockdown naturally evolved into years of touring, visual storytelling and worldwide productions together.

From industrial locations in Amsterdam to large-scale multicam productions on the Hudson River in New York City and at Timewarp Brazil, the livestreams evolved far beyond online performances alone — becoming cinematic experiences watched by audiences worldwide.
